Sarawak Gold 1 pineapple, commonly known as SG1, is a hybrid variety introduced in Sarawak.

This pineapple variety is the result of an intensive study and breeding program with the aim of producing fruit that combines the best qualities of existing pineapples.

Compact Plant Size – The small plant size allows for high-density planting, resulting in significantly higher yields.

Short Maturation Period – SG1 pineapples mature in just 8–9 months, compared to the typical 12 months required by other varieties.
